Our Purpose

111 Project exists to mobilize the church in Hardee, Highlands, and Polk Counties to ensure that every child has a family. If every church had one family that fostered or adopted then there would be no child without a family. Even more so, each child would have a Christian home. If that same church would then wrap around that family, loving and supporting them, we could accomplish our purpose. We know this can be a big ask. So we have also partnered with CarePortal. A technology that allows us to connect with families through child serving professionals. We are able to support current foster families, kinship placements, adopted families, youth transitioning out (who never got adopted) and help restore biological families.

Our Impact

We continually reach out to the community to grow our reach and serve more children by enrolling new churches, training new responders, partnering with businesses and other non-profits, and connecting with our established agencies. So far, in Hardee, Highlands, and Polk counties, we have served over 1,200 children, meeting over 500 requests from child-serving professionals, making over a $525,000 economic impact.

How to Partner

Foster

Have you considered fostering? There is a need for 55 more foster families in our community. Heartland for Children holds virtual info sessions that are free and non-committal. You have to pre-register by calling 863-519-8900 x 289.

Adopt

Have you considered adopting? There are over 25 children waiting to meet their forever home. Without adoption, they will transfer from their foster home to adulthood without a mom or dad. Statistics prove a child who transitions out without being adopted is more likely to end up homeless, incarcerated, a teen parent, and a parent of children who will be also removed. Enroll your church

When you enroll your church you are enrolling to learn more about what 111Project does and how to use CarePortal in your church. After receiving your pastor’s blessing we can train a primary point person from your church to oversee the ministry. Together we will serve more children. You will get to be the hands and feet of Jesus as you show up to the doorsteps of bio families, foster families, kinship placements, youth transitioning out, and adopted families supplying tangible items, but more importantly, sharing the Good News. What starts off with delivering a bed to a foster family turns into a relationship established between a family, church, and Jesus.
