Updates from 111 Project (10/2026)

Hello,

I wanted to follow up and let you know some of the things we have been working on. As a team, we are so excited about the ways the Lord is leading 111 Project and the doors that have been opened to us. It allows for us to continue to do the good and helpful work of supporting churches as they support families who have welcomed children in to their homes that they did not birth.

We have an updated website! We’ve been working to make our original website (www.111projectfl.org) more user friendly and informative. Feel free to check it out and let us know what you think!

A new Online Church Portal is coming soon! We are in the process of building an online platform to help churches feel more supported and resourced as they do the good work of loving their families. Our official launch date is November 15th! So, I will be reaching out to help you get set up in our new portal once it is live.

TBRI Training in January!! TBRI stands for Trust Based Relational Intervention and is an attachment-based, trauma-informed care model designed to help children who have experienced abuse and neglect.  We know that kids who have experienced trauma, abuse and neglect can come with some challenging behaviors. So, we want to help your churches children’s workers feel more equipped to both understand and help regulate these behaviors. Therefore, we are offering 2 free trainings in January for that very purpose! One will be in Wauchula and one in Lakeland. They will be identical so the dual offering is really for convenience in location and time for your church.  Any children’s worker that you think would be an asset in loving on kids with hard behaviors is welcome to attend! We will also provide childcare for the people attending. Please make sure to sign up so that we can plan accordingly!

November is National Adoption Month! And November 8th is Pure Religion Sunday.  It’s an easy opportunity to talk to your church about 111 Project, Foster Care and Adoption.  We have some resources on the 111 website if you were looking for something to use to highlight the Bible’s call to defend the fatherless and take care of orphans in their time of need. We are also working on a video that tells the story of a sibling set in foster care and how the church stepped in to support both the kids and the foster family. The girls story has ended with adoption and we are so thankful to be able to tell it! So, if that’s something you’d like to share on your social media or in a service, we will make it available to you!

I am so expectant for what the Lord is stirring up and building in His church to care for the fatherless. The crisis is large and it’s the perfect time to link arms and work together to change families for generations to come by infusing the hope of the Gospel into seemingly hopeless situations. I’m so thankful we get to do that together!
